• ASD, the Alaska State Fair, and Portugal. The Man sponsored the #ASDAllAccess video contest, inviting ASD student groups to submit short videos about what they are looking forward to as we return to in-person school this fall. Many Dimond student groups submitted videos--more than half of all submissions came from our school! On Thursday, August 19th, the Dimond student body was given a surprise outdoor assembly where they were greeted by Superintendent Bishop, who announced that the winning video was made Dimond Student Government. Student Government received $5000 for winning, and each of the other groups received $500 for participating. Dr. Bishop then introduced Portugal. The Man, who played a mini-concert for the school. Afterwards, the band gave the entire student body tickets to their upcoming concert at the Alaska State Fair. Thank you Portugal.
