William Tyson Elementary is committed to providing our students with a safe and secure learning environment. This commitment includes the safe drop off and pick up of our children. To safely and efficiently accommodate all of the vehicle, bus and pedestrian traffic, the following protocol has been designed.

Drop Off/Pick Up

*Please remember that students may not be dropped off at school any earlier than 8:30.  We do not provide supervision for students until 8:30 and their safety is important to us.

*All students must be picked up from school right at 3:30 unless other activities are occurring (running club, talent show practice, tutoring, etc). We are not able to provide supervision after school for students unless they are participating in a special activity and a permission slip is on file. Please remember that picking up students on time is a condition of all Zone Exemptions.

*There is NO parking at any time in our fire lane in front of the building. In the event of an emergency, this area needs to be clear for safety.

*When picking up students at the end of the day, please follow the map below.  Cars need to be moving through this pick up area to keep our children safe.  This area is clearly marked with orange cones and staff directing traffic.  If you need to enter the building to pick up students you will need to park in the parking lot prior to entering.  Please do not leave your car unattended in the pick-up line.
